Microsoft, HP unveil ‘breakthrough’ stack integration

 Microsoft Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. Wednesday announced a $250-million three-year investment toward integrating their respective technology stacks from infrastructure to application in a cloud-driven effort the companies said "represents the most integrated technology stack in the industry today."

Virtualization – A year of experimentation

St-Jean de Vianney implemented Microsoft Corp.'s Hyper-V hypervisor in Windows Server 2008. The technology virtualized the server infrastructure - essentially rearranging bits and pieces of the 16 servers and squeezing more performance out of them.
